Summer 2013

Summer is going by so fast. We have vacation coming up! I love going to the farmers market here in Moore Ok. They have the best corn on the cob and I bought 50 cobs. I don't play when it comes to fresh corn. I grew up eating this precious gold! My grandparents grew corn and every summer we would all go and shuck the corn and then eat it. Seriously, that is all we had for lunch was corn. My mom's side of the family love their corn. I really wish I could of video taped them eating it. They don't play. My hubby stares at me when I eat it now. I just make a sucking sound once the corn is all off the cob. I have to suck out all the butter and salt. It's a problem. This is the fist time my boys and hubby ever shucked corn. The boys are in a summer reading program. They are suppose to read 10 min for a sticker. They are in this program every year but this is the first year that my baby read to me. He has already lost 2 teeth! Blaine and Logan finished their reading program on got medals. Go boys!

Walgreens and B's 9th birthday!

How much do I love Walgreens! I would put it up there with Target for sure. It is my place to go when I just need to get out of the house for a minute. I could spend hours looking at makeup. So here is my pic of my Walgreens haul last night. So the first thing I got was $2.99 and is the most awesome stuff. Yardley shower gel smells amazing. I will rebuy this again for sure Deep Down Detox mud mask. LOVE LOVE LOVE. It was $5.99 Worth every penny. It smells nice and it feels like it is doing something The makeup removers....suck don't buy Vitamin E oil is suppose to help cell turnover. Who knows but I like the stuff and I put it on before bed The Garnier gel cream...I like it so far. Not sure if it does anything. The powder I have not tried yet but it was only $2.99 MY BOY TURNED 9! He is the most awesome kid a parent could ask for. He loves soccer so of course we had the soccer cake. It was not the easiest cake to make because I have no idea how to draw a soccer ball.

May 20th

May 20, 2013 will be a day I never forget. My kids will never forget that day. I live in Moore but I did not get any damage. Thank you God. May 20th was a normal day...my kids went to school and I cleaned the house. Around 2pm I was watching tv in my room while Logan was playing a game. Days of Our Lives was on and every commercial they would break in to tell us that is looked like bad weather coming. I had in my mind that I wouldn't get Blaine from school. I didn't want to stress him out about the weather. For some reason I changed my mind (I have no idea why) and went and got Blaine. When I got to the school it hadn't started raining yet and there was a few parents there. I saw the PTA ladies bringing in stuff for Super Kids day and I decided to help them before I got Blaine. When I came back into the office parents were going crazy. COMPLETE CHAOS. People were yelling and staff were yelling trying to listen to the radio at the same time. It was one of the scariest moments of my life. I had no idea why people were freaking out. I got my sweet 3rd grader and we got in the car. At this time it started raining and raining hard. People were backing up into each other and not stopping. My phone was going crazy and the sirens were going off. I still had no idea what was going on. I was scared and shaking. My boys were scared. I decided then to turn around and go to my friends house that had a safe rooom. I didn't know if she was home but I had to try. The drive there was the longest ever. She only lives half a mile away. Cars were going about 90 around me. It was raining hard. I pulled into my friend's driveway and banged on her door. She came to the door and told us to get in the safe room. Thank God! I could stop shaking for a minute. We were wet and we were scared. When we got in the safe room we saw what was coming for us. We were watching on the phone. I was hearing streets that I knew very well. I can not tell you how really scared I was. I felt like I was going to throw up. I prayed and I prayed hard. ALL WE HAD WAS PRAYER. I am proud to say I prayed. I PRAYED! When we found out we were safe I went outside and saw that monster tornado. It makes me sick to see the coverage of Moore. The places we know so well our gone. The kids that play soccer with us we don't even know if they are ok. No more school....we were suppose to be out on Thursday. No superkids day and no 3rd grade awards program. My son was suppose to recieve a award. His teached had just emailed me about it that day. Blaine has no idea he was going to get one. These are all little things compared to what people here are going through. I donated some money to red cross and I bought a t-shirt. I am still praying for those people. They need our help and they need our prayers. They are not ashamed to ask for our prayers. I know if I was going through what they were I would ask for their prayers. I love MOORE Oklahoma and I love Oklahoma. I am proud to live in Oklahoma. http://www.atxmafia.com/catalog.php

My Sunday

What a day. We started the day out at church. We then went to my son's very last soccer game of the season. This is where I lost my mind. For anyone that knows my son Blaine knows that he a very stressed out kid. Blaine loves soccer and when I say loves soccer I mean he thinks about soccer all the time. He has dreamed about making a goal since he first started playing a couple of months ago. It finally happened today. He made a goal in the last 30 seconds of the game. I wish you could of seen him when he made the goal. He grinned from ear to ear and put his hands up in the air like he won the world cup. I am sure I looked crazy myself. I screamed and I don't remember anything after that. We celebrated at Braums with some ice cream. I am so so proud of Blaine. I knew he could do it. He works so hard and has such a big heart. All it takes is that one goal to make his dreams come true. PROUD MOMMA

some of my favorite things

I feel like Oprah....and I am sure you will now go out an buy all these things. First favorite thing is Coconut Oil. Oh how I love this stuff. I works great for a hair mask and wrinkles under the eye. There are so many benefits to coconut oil. I love me some green tea. This stuff is really good for you. It keeps my face from breaking out like crazy. I am a true believer in it. I drink about 4 cups a day. Go me! This coffee is amazing. I love it. I haven't found a better coffee except Starbucks Cinammon dolce latte. I have a thing for coffee. I only have one cup a day but I am pretty sure I could have 3. I bought this amazing stuff at Marshalls but haven't seen it in a while and I am out. I am not sure if this is a favorit thing but I do it.....running. I hate it while I am doing it but love it when I am done. It makes me enjoy my food a little more without feeling the guilt. I run with a girl that lives by me. We run on Saturdays very early with the Red Coyote running group. Today we ran about 5 miles...I don't want to toot my own horn but....TOOT TOOT! OMG do you watch Downton Abbey? I wish it was on everynight. I want to hang out with them. ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE SHOWS. One my momma can be proud of since she doesn't like me watching Walking Dead. I do love that show too though...sorry momma.

Pina Colada Pops

I got this recipe of pinterest. It was so easy and let me tell you it is pretty darn good for only 117 calories. I am trying to eat better and I am trying to run a bit. I am not a huge fan of running. It is so much easier to run with a partner. Pina Colada Pops 1 can pineapple chunks with the juice 1 Can of lite coconut milk 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 1 banana Blend together and freeze

My shopping trip

My mom and I did our weekly 2 hour shopping trip. Of course Target and Starbucks is always on the list of things to do. I got 2 pair of shoes for around $15 each. I love how they look and they are really comfortable. We then made our way to Ulta. Oh my I could spend a whole day in there. I love that place. My mom is awesome and bought me some stuff. I think I am spoiled a little. Urban Decay in Naked flush....I love this makeup. It looks so good on and summery Telescopic Loreal in carbon black....This mascara is awesome. It really coats the eyelashes Moringa from the Body Shop...Smells so good!! So light but what a great smell Burts bees wipes....not a huge fan of this product. I would like it take off more of my makeup All of these products were bought for me from my wonderful mom.
