Fort

My husband's step dad is awesome at woodwork. I asked him if he would make the boys a fort and he came up with this. I love it!

It still needs a roof and a ladder but couldn't wait to take pics

Paint or not to paint

This weekend I got this chair from my aunt Brenda. I love getting free stuff and love this chair. I can't decide if I should paint it white. What do you think? I need to clean it a little more too.

Pics from Spring Break!

Spring Break

I believe that this has been one of the best weeks ever. My mom and dad was sweet enough to help me out with the boys on Spring Break. Monday the boys didn't feel very well so that day we watched movie after movie. Tuesday we went to my parent's house and my mom took us to Target. She bought the boys some toys to stay at her house. We then went back to her house and played outside. Love my parents yard. I go over there ALL the time but really I just want my boys to play in a big yard. I NEED some land myself so I don't have to bug them all the time. Wednesday my mom and dad drove us all the way to Arcadia to go to Pops...but there was an hour wait to eat. I don't wait an hour for anything except a Twilight movie. We grabbed two cokes for the boys and left. We ended up eating at Freddys. It was a really good time. Then got home and the boys played again outside. Thursday we went to Shawnee to see my great aunt Geneva. She is 96 and in her right mind. My oldest boy thinks it is really cool to see someone that old. He really does love her too. It is so cute that he prays for her just about every night. My mom then took us to the old diner called Hamburger King. It really has the best hamburgers in the world. If you ever got to Shawnee stop by that place! Of course when we got back to my parent's house the boys had to play in the backyard. Today I am taking them downtown to eat at the Sonic and walk the canal. It has been one fun week. I thank you mom for making this all happen. I only brought my camera yesterday. SO here are some pics of the trip to Shawnee.

Toy Story

I have now watched this movie 100 times this week. This movie will forever remind me of my sweet boys. I actually LOVE this movie!

More memories

I don't know why I have been thinking of my grandparents so much this week. Maybe because it is spring break and I usually spent it at their house. They lived in Prague, OK in a farm house. There are SO many memories but here are a few.
One spring break we went to see Ernest goes to Jail. We went to the Shawnee movie theater to watch it. SO forever and ever will Ernest remind me of them

Easter will forever remind me of them. My grandma always had this candy dish full of Easter candy

My grandpa would take us to the north place to a creek. We would swim in it and get all muddy. We had to get hosed off afterwards

Grandma and I would pick beans in the garden while grandpa and my brother were at town.

Every July we would head to their house with the whole family to shuck corn

new pics of living room

I can't think of anything to blog about so here is some pics of my living room. I painted the walls a shade darker then Dolphin fin. I also bought the circle mirrors at Garden Ridge. I couldn't find a time where my kids weren't on the sofa to take a pic. They both have been sick all weekend so the sofa is where they are planted.

Memories

Last night I went to Walgreens to get me some candy for my Friday night. When I saw the orange slices I grabbed them. My grandma Tucker always had them in her candy dish when we visited her in Arkansas. I would never buy them for the taste but because of the memory. Does that even make sense? So I bought them and put them in my candy dish. Makes me think of her everytime. What brings back memories for you?

Cowboy Party

My little one's 4th b-day is coming up and he wants a cowboy party. So I am needing some ideas. I have some thing in mind but how cute is this cake from oopsey daisy blog. I love it. hmmmmm I wonder if I could make that????

The Help

Been a while on here. My laptop has some kind of virus so instead of me sitting on the couch to look at my blog I have to walk to the computer room. So hard to do :) I just finished a wonderful book that everyone is reading called "The Help". I wanted more at the end! I really hope they make a movie out of this book. Finishing a book is always a bitter sweet experience. Now I need a new book! Off to the library today.
