Younique Moodstruck 3d Fiber Lashes

I received this mascara for Christmas. First off I have shortest eyelashes in the world. They have no curl and stick straight out. Oh the struggles. I have tried fake lashes but by the end of the night they are hanging on my cheek. It is not cute and they feel like weights. The Younique mascara is pretty cool. It really does make your eyelashes long and thick. The directions say to put one coat of your favorite mascara and let it dry. Next you put on the Younique gel and immediately put on the fiber lash mascara. For the final coat you put on one more coat of the gel mascara.

Ok here it goes. I'm really really going outside my comfort zone. Hubby took the pics so they were not the best pics and he wasn't going to take a million so I could pick out the best one. Be kind!

DIY Coffee Scrub

There is a lot of coffee scrubs out there. I looked up many recipes and decided to try my own little recipe. I have been using this scrub about once a week and I am in love. It really brightens and leaves my face and body so soft. Coffee is really good for your skin. You can google the benefits and see how many benefits it really has.

Ingredients

1/4 cup of coffee. I use coffee granules that have been brewed.

1/4 cup of brown sugar.

1 teaspoon of cinnamon (cinnamon plumps the skin)

A little squeeze of lemon. (Lemon brightens the face)

2 teaspoons of coconut oil ( coconut oil has ton of benefits too)

Mix all the dry ingredients and then add in coconut oil and lemon. Store in air tight container. I put mine in a mason jar. I store mine in the refrigerator.

Makeup for Christmas

If you know me then you know I love makeup. Drugstore or high end brand It doesn't matter I love it all. My mom knows me well because she got me some awesome makeup for Christmas. QVC is a makeup girls dream. They have the most awesome deals on makeup. This year my mom got me Laura Geller and Tarte.

 

 

Up first is Tarte. This came with 2 lipsticks, 1 gloss, 2 mascaras, 3 eye pencils, 2 blushes, and 2 eyeshadow palettes.

The blushes are called Pampered and Savored. I really love them both. If I had to pick I would pick Pampered which is a little bit more mauve than the other.

The mascaras are the Lights Cameras Lashes. Love these. They really lengthen and give volume to the eyes.

2 lipsticks are Wonder and Rare. Rare is a bit more brown colored and Rare is a mauvey pink. Love them both. Tarte lipsticks are my favorite. They have that minty feel. Worth the money but Revelon colorsticks are also very much like Tarte.

3 eyeliners are bronze, black, and plum. They are nice but not sure they are any better then drugstore.

Lipgloss is called Indulging. It's really sticky feeling but stays on a long time. Its a pinky color.

The 2 eye palettes have very nice colors. They are soft and have a lot of pigment. I do like Tartes eyeshadows.

 

 

Next up is the Laura Gellar.

My favorite is the Baked Gelato Lace Illuminator in the color Ballerina. So worth the money. It gives the face a nice glow. So pretty. I use this with the angle face brush it came with. Its awesome!

The mascara is StyleLash Intense Lengthening Mascara. I love the wand in this. It really coats all your lashes. It awesome.

The Baked Color Foundation in Fair is different for me. I'm use to liquid foundation. I have not used this on its own but I dust it on my face after liquid foundation. I like it so far and I am going to try it on its own soon.

The eyeshadow is wonderful. It goes on so soft and blends really nice. The color is smokey plums. One is shimmery and the other is matte. These are nice colors for blue eyes.

I'm very into my makeup. I'm so lucky to have a momma that knows me.

Holiday Favorites

I have never given Glade candles a chance but I am glad I have now. They smell so good and they are cheap! Now I have only smelled two of them and bought both. I have burned both and they smell up the house but not over the top strong smell.

Another Holiday favorite is Celestial Seasonings Sugar Cookie Tea. I like it because it has a little sugar cookie flavor without the calories. Dang calories why do they have to be in sugar cookies.

 

I have not tried this Chapstick because I can not find it. I might have to order it online.

 

I have tried these little gems. Oh my they taste like Thin Mints. They are amazing.

 

Go out and buy these amazing things. They are all Shawna worthy!

Advent Calendar

This year instead of filling the advent calendar with candy or money it is filled with notes. This is so much cheaper and more loving. My boys love to open up the calendar and today they opened the note that said play checkers with mom. They both had a smile on their face. I put simple things like take a walk with mom. I remember when I was younger my mom had a jar of notes that had things like taking a walk with mom to the pond. For some reason it was so much fun and exciting for me. So you dont have to have money to make a little kid smile. Hopefully my boys will remember this more then eating a piece of candy.

Alternative to My Coffee

I need to slow down on the coffee every morning. I need to slow down on the sugar I put in it. I bought this tea the other day and love it. The best thing is I dont have to add milk or sugar. Win!

It is Almost That Time

Start saving your money because it is almost that time! My grandma always had the big Sears catalog book for all of us grandkids. I loved looking through each page skipping over the ugly boy toys. Usually whatever was pink I wanted. I was and still am a girly girl. Now I shop for boy toys and here are what my boys are wanting.

Logan is easy because he is still my little boy. He just wants toys! Army toys are his favorite.
