yummy egg
Oeufs En Cocotte A La Creme
(eggs baked in ramekins)
1/2 tsp butter
2 Tb of heavy cream (I used cheese sauce with some milk added)
1 egg for each ramekin
salt and pepper
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
choose a poreclain or fireproof glass dish 2 1/2 to 3 inches in diameter and about 1 1/2 inch deep.
Arrange in a pan containing 3/4 inch of water and set over over a burner; bring water to a simmer.
Place all but a dot of butter in the ramekin; add a tablespoon of cream, and break in the egg. When egg white has begun to coagulate in bottom of ramekin, add the remaining spoonful of cream, seasonings, and the dot of butter. Place in lower third of preheated oven and bake for 7 to 8 minutes. The eggs are done when they are set. Season with salt and pepper..yummy

My mom and I made crab cakes a while back and they were great. Pretty easy to make and easy to eat. We also made artichoke appetizers.

My bedroom
I have been working on my bedroom for about a month now. Yesterday I worked on the light fixture. I really wanted a new one but 1. no money 2.husband wanted to keep an ugly fan cause he gets hot. So, I decided to spray paint our old one and I really liked how it turned out. We also painted the dressers.
My little 5 year old is now starting to read and I am very impressed with him. I went to the library yesterday and got a book for first readers and he read it! I helped a little but my goodness I don't think I was anywhere close to where he is now. Off to garage sales! Almost got a dresser off of craigslist for my sister in law but they sold it before I could come and look at it. boo!

ice cream party
My little baby turned 3. I made him a ice cream party since he loves ice cream so much. Here are some pics. I did make those cute little ice cream cone cupcakes. It was very easy. All you have to do is get ice cream cones and put a cupcake upside down on it and then stick another mini cupcake upside down on the top of the big cupcake. Next ice it and put sprinkles on it.

my new coffee table!
My most exciting DIY yet. I have been wanting a coffee table forever but the ones I wanted were about $500 which I don't have the money for. I decided to do it on my own with a ton of help from Ry. I have been looking for an old coffee table forever but the ones I found on craigslist were still $60. I found this one on craigslist for $15 and HAD to have it. I painted it black and then we put foam on it. Next, we took the batting and stapled it to the bottom of the coffee table. We did the same with the fabric. Now, I have to get some scotch guard so my little guys don't mess it up.

Taquitos
Yesterday I made taquitos and they were awesome. I made up the recipe and just put whatever I had in it.
Taquitos
1 red onion chopped
2 medium red potatoes cut in pieces
2 cooked chicken breast
1 red bell pepper
1 lime
hot pepper sauce (as much as you want)
salt and pepper to taste
package of corn tortillas
Saute the red onion, potatoes, bell pepper, and chicken breast until the vegetable are tender. Squeeze the lime and hot pepper sauce cook for another 5 minutes. Take two forks and shred the chicken. Microwave the corn tortillas for 1 minute in microwave. Take a spoon full of the mixture and put it in center of tortilla. Roll it up and secure it with tooth picks. Fill your frying pan about 1/4 with oil and fry the taquitos.
