Cooking with the boys.

This summer we are cooking! I'm trying to teach my boys to cook. There is nothing better then a man cooking for you! So Blaine cooked encharitos . Very easy and very good.

1 can of re fried beans

1 can of red enchilada sauce

1 package of taco seasoning

Flour tortillas

Ground beef

Cheddar cheese

1/4 cup water

Brown ground beef. Once browned drain grease. Add water and taco seasoning. Stir until all meat is covered with the seasoning. Take your tortillas and spread beans on the tortilla. Put some meat on top of tortilla and roll up. Once you have all the tortillas rolled up with your mixtures pour enchilada sauce on top. Sprinkle cheddar cheese. Cover your dish with foil. Put in oven on 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

Day 2 Teacher Appreciation

Day 2 on teacher appreciation day is to bring something sweet. My mom and dad went to Texas yesterday and went to Trader Joes. I wish we had a Trader Joes. I had my mom get some dark chocolate treats for Logan's teacher since she likes dark chocolate. I also had my mom get me 8 cookie butters. If you haven't had this cookie butter stuff don't because you won't be able to put the jar down. I got Blaine's teacher a jar of the cookie butter. I have to be honest it was a bit hard to part with it.

Pic of Blaine because he is so darn cute

Teacher Appreciation

This week is teacher appreciation week. My kids have some pretty awesome teachers. Monday is bring your teacher something you could pick. I was going to do a hanging basket of flowers but the boys have 3 teachers and it would be a little pricey. So I made cookie cups. I put sugar cookie dough in a mini muffin tin and baked it in the oven. You bake it at 350 degrees for about 7 min. Make sure you spray the pan with Pam before you put the dough in. The cookies need to be completely cooled before you take out. Then you put icing in the cup and top with crushed Oreos. I got fake flowers at Dollar Tree and hot glued them to tooth picks. The best part is it tastes awesome!
